Just now having this problem, and it's happening repeatedly.
I noticed that recieving landmarks from people was hanging, and so was getting the profiles to load up, so I decided to relog.
Only problem is, once I got to the 'Connecting to user server...' part, it would boot me back to login screen. Thoughts?

same problem here... i was in earlier tonight, but since i tried logging in after 22:00 PST, i keep getting kicked back to the login screen, no explanation.

I'm wondering if maybe this has something to do with both the newly released version and the new times that we can log in at. <pouts> And I was having so much fun building!

the same thing happened to me tonight and it nots the first time .. i was really mad too cause i was working on something and because i decided to relog now i have to wait till tomorrow to fix it...grrrr

Haha.. yes.. I was going to jet over to Tcoz's house and check out the light fixtures before getting back to building. I got SO much done today and I wanted to do more, but nooooooo.
Ah well, tomorrow (today?) is another day.

I know that Fey Brightwillow and I both had the same problem. I was not receiving objects handed to me (Malaer handed me a note card that I never got) and Fey was having object handing problems. We both logged to try to come back in and were completely disallowed. We got to the login screen, clicked connected, the game connected with the server (which took a bit longer than normal), then contacted the user server (which took WAY longer than normal), then booted us back to the login screen. Quite frustrating as I had lots of work to get done.

There are three problems here:
1. Log in failure (no connection to userserver).
2. Giving inventory items is sometimes failing.
3. Profiles sometime aren't loading.
Log in failure is a VERY BAD THING (tm) and we're hard at work on it.
Many people couldn't log in last night, but many others were successfully logged in. I decided not to restart the userserver at that point because it would have logged everybody out, potentially making a bad situation much worse.
Reminder: in the future, if anyone is consistently unable to log in, PLEASE send email to [email]support@lindenlab.com[/email] right away. (If Liasons are unable to log in or hear that others can't log in, they should page the Grid Monkey.)
It's likely that the other two problems were caused by database troubles related to the log in failure.
