when i go into sl the in world voice connects. but after a while it stops working. but my waves are still there and all. and the talk button is still available. but no one can hear me. so its like wierd lol and its not my firewall or anything. does anyone else have this problem? and if so please help me fix it lol ty all

When i need to log were i put my acc and pass i go on edit then C+p its work on voice chat but when i log in and go to C+P to voice chat to device its not work please help me!!!!!!!!! Am waiting for your replay!!!

I am in the texas area , and yesterday night it stopped working for me, It is sitll out this morning, I have tried using different computers in my home, with the exact same result, Its NOT a firewall issue. Also, my boyfriend in another regional location can log into my account and he has voice. I have updated drivers, did a fresh total install cleared cache , nothing works , If i try to go to voice in game under voice device settings its Stuck at , Please wait............................

Voice does work in principle, it just keeps dying on me. I will talk for a few seconds or even minutes, but then it suddenly stops completely. I still see myself as talking, but other people can't hear me at all. This seems to happen more frequently in laggy places than when I'm alone or with just a few people. Any ideas? |

I started having similar issues after using my webcam with Skype and Yahoo Messenger.
The only thing that would work for me was to close SL, make sure none of those programs were running in the background, unplug my usb headset and plug it back in.
Then restart SL. You may want to remove any programs from your Startup folder that might try and take control of your headset. If you have a webcam with a microphone make sure its not somehow defaulting to that instead of your headset. And make sure you don’t have a loose connection with to your usb.
And if you don’t have a usb headset, I suggest you get one.

Thanks for your answer, DaQbet! I've made sure to close all other apps. Still having issues, but I think I've found out why it happens. I'll start a new thread, though, so as not to derail this one.
