I am shopping around for a laptop and am finding A LOT of them have the IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD in them and have tried searching the forums for an answer with no luck.
I have also saw one that has VIDEO GRAPHICS: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 (M96) with up to 2815MB total available graphics memory with 1024MB dedicated
I'd like to know if either of these are compatible to work with SL smoothly. I have been looking for nvidia geforce cards but so far the ones I've saw (online shopping) unfortunately have had those two mentioned above instead.
You can send and IM in world or reply back to the thread I would appreciate it .
Thanks in advance Brookee Romano

Don't get INTEL video at all or your SL will be very bad.
ATI - acceptable but sometimes problems, a search of the forums for "ATI" or that type of card will yield some results.
Nvidia is your best choice for SL if you want a relatively problem free experience.

The Intel will work, but don't expect high performance. The ATI is a mid-level card which should in theory play at high settings, but ATI drivers do not always play well with Second Life. Try this link for laptops with mid-range or better Nvidia GPUs. http://tinyurl.com/midrangenvidia
