HELP!! I've only just started looking around Help Island. When I logged on, I got a message to say that my region wasn't available, and without asking me if it was ok, I suddenly got sent to another region. I ended up in some sort of strange party where no-one spoke English and the only thing I could think of to do was teleport to the public Help Island. I didn't WANT to leave the Help Island I was on because I'd just met up with a friend there. I'm really annoyed that I was thrown onto the main island before I was ready to go. It's really put me off bothering with SL now. Is this a glitch in the system and will I be put back where I was when the region becomes available again, or have I been banished forever?

It's quite possible that they were in the process of rolling restarts and help island was included in that area restarted. So what happens when you log in and your last area isn't available is what happened to you. You were dumped alternatively.

Somebody here's going to tell you how to get back to that point....I just don't recall how that's done.

Hi Pixel

firstly welcome to sl. this kind of thing is a common occurrence, sl periodically do what they call rolling restarts, kind of like when you restart your computer to refresh the memory, whilst that is in process that particular area is not available. If you go to your inventory, you should find a landmark for Help Island in your library and will be able to teleport back there as soon as the restart has completed. Hope that helps but I am sure others will be along with more information for you shortly

Your probably unable to return to the Help Island you started on. But don't fret. There is plenty of mainland help available for you. Click the SEARCH button atthe bottom of your screen. Click the PLACES tab and write SHELTER in there and search. The Shelter is a great place to get lots of start up help. Then from there you can search in EVENTS for EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES and attend free classes on almost everything.
