Network troubles

I'm having a weird problem. I have a small home wireless network hooked up to my DSL connection. Everytime I try to play Second Life, within a few minutes, my wireless connection disconnects. No computers in the house can connect to it, though it appears to be functioning normally. I've only had this happen once before, the exact same symptoms with another MMOG. Is this something with the game or my setup? Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'm not a computer person, so I don't know the right terms, but that sounds like something that was happening to me and my friends.

We (old college friends) wound up living in the same triplex, and decided to share a high speed dsl line between our places. we have 7 or 8 computers all hooked up to share. At first, we just hooked the network up and let it go.

The problem of disconects came up though. It seems that the connection using just the splitter (remember I said I don't know the correct hardware terms) would always be proprietory to ONE computer at a time. We shared the line, but for some reason it wasn't sharing the bandwidth equally.

My friends (they're the computer guys) added a router to the splitter and problem solved. Our average throughput speeds are still between 860 to 1.2kps with the whole network up and running and each of playing on our preferred MMO games.

I hope that helps some, wish I could get all techie for you.
