I have been using my current ATI HD 2600 video card for over a year. When I first installed it I kept getting the error that it wasn't compatible. Of course SL was of no help at all and said it wasn't a compatible card which of course it is. I did get t to work eventually. Problem is... I need to re-install it and have been getting the same error...I just forget what I had to do last time to get it to work. I've installed and re-installed every driver possible to no avail. HELP!!!!!!

You could try using the command line parameter "--noprobe". This should stop SL from detecting your hardware.
An explanation of how to do this on different operating systems is here on the Wiki: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Client_parameters _____________________
