I dont know if this is were I can turn for help. I hope so. I used to be able to type something like /me smiles. and it would show up as Skyefyre Xue smiles. But recently when I try to type it, it shows up in my chat line as /Me and if I continue it and hit enter, it shows in local chat as /Me smiles. Can someone please help me. I want to emote again.

Only thing I can think of is to check you haven't got a gesture active that someone made that has "/Me" in the text box.

Just checked and /me works as always.

Unfortunately i do not have any gestures active. for some reason it keeps wanting to capitalize the M which makes /me not work. Is there anyone that this has happened to also?

Which viewer are you using?

edit: that it really wants to give you an uppercase M sure does sound like you've got an active gesture messing with you...

Nooo.. Which version of SL are you using?

Start SL, hit up the Help menu and do About SecondLife. Copy the first line there and paste it here.

I don't think I've heard of this for any official SL viewers that you get here at this website. Other ones might have some weirdness like this, though.

Click on the gestures menu button at the lower right of the screen and see what comes up. You may have an active gesture that you didn't notice if it was in a folder of clothing or an avatar you wore.
