My character is permanently ruthed, I'm missing all objects that weren't in a folder, can't change clothing and the option to edit my appearance is grayed out. I'm tried uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing my cache, teleporting to other areas and also copying my mates working second life to see if it's the client. This is happening on all my characters. Please help. |=

Edit: Fixed it, it was the SIM I was in. *sigh* If you're experiencing this problem, teleport to a low lag SIM, then relog and everything will go back to normal.

I've found that logging directly into a SF-colocated sim fixes this too (I recommend Sargasso). I've had the permaruth problem 3 times now and each time it occurred when I had logged into a Dallas sim.

Do you mean a state where you character is just a light sphere and right clicking your character doesn't give the Appearance option (grayed out)?
If so I have this issue - I'm still at newbie area and I don't want to leave before I visit the freebie places.
Is there any other way to fix this??

Memorize the name of a Linden water sim (e.g., Tomasina), and log in there. Having a slurl in your bookmarks (e.g. http://slurl.com/secondlife/tomasina#) makes it easy.

Ive had this problem all week and been ready to give up.

Thank you so much for this information.
Everything is now back to normal and I can begin to enjoy SL again.
