I'm a clothes Designer in SL and I recently ran into this problem. I can not edit my old shirts and some of the long sleeve shirts I have bought are completely messed up. It's like the template is wayyy off.
For example: I made shirt a before halloween, right click, change appearance, edit shirt, changed shirt bottom to 0 and I made myself a bra. Now though when I put the outfit on. That setting is still at 0 along with the sleeve length but my avatar is wearing a long sleeve Tshirt.
Another example: I bought a long sleeve jacket along time ago from naughty designs. I now put it on and I have gloves that match the jacket.
Ok change that, I can't edit ANY blank shirt I put on period.
Any ideas what is going on?

Same problem. I cant edit any of the slider bars for clothing. I mean, I can slide it left and right, change the setting and such, but the shirt or pants or whatever, doesnt change. For example, I cant make ANY short sleeve shirts, They just come out ass long sleeves and gloves. What is going on???

nVidia graphics card?
02-27-2009 02:40
It might be the case that you are using an nVidia graphics card with the latest public release of the viewer. Sometime last year nVidia disabled palletized textures, which is an integral part of the 'Appearance' system so you probably need to update the driver on your card before you do anything else. Afterwards you should disable palletized textures immediately you log on by choosing Advanced > Rendering > Features > Palletized Textures. Press Ctrl+Alt+D if you can't see the 'Advanced' menu at the top of the window. Otherwise press Ctrl+Alt+F7, which is the shortcut to disable palletized textures. The texture will display correctly if you remove the item of clothing and put it on again or rebake your avatar using Ctrl+Alt+R or do both - it seems to be a little bit hit or miss. Unfortunately you will need to do this everytime you log on until the problem is hopefully fixed with the latest release of the client. One or two of the Release Candidate Viewers already have an unstable fix for this but I don't use them myself for various reasons. Check out this JIRA where the issue was discussed: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7957
