After a system crash the other morning all my land holdings disappear and are for sale again. My items as well. Any advice?

Ack!

When you say for sale again, you mean that someone else has picked up land you previously held? Did you ask them how they got it?

You don't say how long you had held it, but if you had only just bought it, did it take you above your current land tier when you purchased it? If so, did you confirm it on the website? Otherwise it reverts to public.

I have only ever seen what you describe happen once, and that was the moment that 1.2's grace period ended (and all hell broke loose. lol). It was quickly rectified by a Linden, and I would suggest that that's what you do here: contact an inworld Linden. They'll be able to quickly advise you what steps you can take, and if necessary review the history and check the situation.

Contact a Linden, in-game. Preferably Colin.

It will be helpful to them if you can give them an accurate time estimate of when you actually bought the land, so that they can look the transaction up in the database.

This happened to me several weeks ago because of a rollout. I bought land in the morning, they shut the grid down to roll out a patch a couple of hours later, I logged back on in the afternoon and the land was back in the previous owner's name, for sale to me at the agreed-upon price, but I didn't get the money back.

I contacted a Linden, he spent some time digging through transaction logs, and once he verified that I had actually purchased the land, he transferred it back to me.

That is indeed what happened. I contacted the land owner who sold it to me originally...it was within my account status for land and within my land maintenance agreement status. I also sent email to support. Lindens were contacted but...received a statement that was a disclaimer and not a help at all except that if enough people were affected then a fix would occur. I think I will just contact another Linden. Thanks.

Use the find button while you're in-game, and search for anyone that's currently online named "Linden." Try for Kelly, Daniel, or Colin if any of them are online. If not, try to find anyone that's in the tester group or engineer group. If all else fails, try to figure out who is the liaison on duty. You may have to explain the problem several times if you can't get the right person on your first try.
