Hi Everyone, i just bought a laptop that has a 16:9 display. Resolution at 1440x990 native for the display. Does anyone know if this is a supported display or is everyone in SL going to gain weight when i get home to PA to test it out? I hope it works Seeyas

Seeyas If you look in the display settings, you'll see there's an aspect ratio in there. Works just fine on my PowerBook at 1440x900

Si, Thanks for the response, I guess I wasn't specific enough with the question though What i meant was, at the resolution is it going to give me more side view or just stretch everything & make it thicker ?

Works just fine on my PowerBook at 1440x900 Cornelius, a technical definition you might find useful: "Aspect ratio": The ratio between the width and height of an image. It is important to match the aspect ratio of the monitor with the aspect ratio of any program rendering to the monitor.

And if you didn't follow that, it means the image will be properly formatted for your display. So yes, more 'side view'. It will not be stretched.
