Extreme lag in Chartreuse (with nobody there)

I've sent a bug report but figured I'd post here too.

Chartreuse is experiencing extreme lag even with only one person (me) in the sim. It feels like how it would be with 30+ avatars. Something's not right. Sim FPS is around 50.

I figure either some scripts have gone haywire or the server needs a reboot...

processing images

I looked into it and found that Chartreuse was occasionally spending a lot of time "processing images", which is where it sorts through the images that it needs to stream out, and decides if it has them cached for send, or if needs to download them.

I rebooted the sim and then recruited Buck Weaver (thanks Buck!) who was nice enough to come help me verify that it was working right. It's healthy again, but there appears to be a bug in the texture caching code -- maybe a memory leak, or maybe memory fragmentation -- not sure yet. I'll discuss it with the other developers.

Thanks for looking into this Andrew! Its running much better at the moment.

Hmm I could see why texture problems might arise here since there are some very texture-intensive builds in the sim like the Whitestar and Moulin Rouge. Not complaining though.. those are gorgeous builds. I love having Neph and Neil as my neighbors. :)
