[img] tag in posts

Since the new forum design, i've seen a couple of posts where there are images in the actual body of the post, not attached to the bottom, nor linked to be viewed after a click.

I am relatively knowlegeable about vB code, yabb code, ezcode, bbcode and the like - having not only been using forums like this for years, but running and maintaining my own as well.

So... my question is this - why aren't my image tags working in my posts, and yet some people's are? What am i missing? Any ideas from my other forum-goers?

It looks pretty straightforward, I guess make sure the properties of the image link is correct.

Here is a test to link to your photographer link you have in your signature.

I dont get it. I made this link okay, click the pic to go to the homepage here and it works.

Im sorry for the excessive posts, trying to make things work.

Only thing I can guess is that the picture properties are incorrect or the http address is one that does not allow linking.

Weird thing is, Loki - i am seeing all of the images you've posted. Are YOU not seeing them??

yes, even the ones from my own server. I see them when YOU link them, using the same code i've been trying to use, but not when i do it.

I dont see the link I tried to post to your site. Attached pic is what I am seeing.

ok, this is too strange. NOW i see mine, too. I didn't see one in a post i did earlier; it did the link on me, not the image.

I wonder if it was the url link around the image that is messing me up?

Not sure why you aren't seeing the image you posted from my site, Loki. I am, on mine and your posts. I -really- appreciate you leaping in and trying to sort things for me.

Loki, is your resolution at or lower than 1024x768?

You can't.

My resolution was 1024x768. I changed it to 1152x864, applied and rebooted. The entries look just the same, I dont see the links. The only pics I see in this thread is the space ship and the SL logo that I posted.

What difference did you think the resolution would have made? It just makes everything smaller on my end.

All my browser windows start out at around 800x600, before I expand them, and these boards ALWAYS look fuxx0red up in a window that small.

I attempted to post imbedded images using

tags & they actually posted with

[a][/a]

tags. What's up with this?
