How high up and how low down?

I've been experimenting with locating residences at different extremes (hey, I' m a noobie - that's what we do :) Anyway, I was wondering two things:

1) What's the highest it would be possiblel to place a livable space? For example, could you build a room at 9000m? And, with really high up places, what are the issues you'd have to figure out?

2) How deep into the ground can you do the same thing? I'm in a building now where the ground is at about 25m. By turning off camera limits, I was able to see 'water undereith me' and was able to place a 10x10x10 box - down to about 10 feet. (I had a heck of a time trying to climb into that box though :) Are there issues in trying this and are there solutions to get around them?

On the "normal" sims you can build upto 768 meter in the sky, the new sims in the test program alow building upto 4000 meter in the sky.
for low, I think the limit is 0 meter but have to test this but you can never have the center of an object lower then 10 meter under the ground, it's also not posible to have you avatar below ground, if you try by sitting on a box or something you will just be moved back to the survice when you stand up.

There is a trick to build underground though, the way it is done is by lowering the land to where you want to build (probably can't move land low enough on mainland) and then covering it with prims with the same texture as the ground serounding it, it will look like it is below ground that way while it in actualety is above ground.

You can still build way higher then limit , just a trick to it, been awhile since i tested it but i had a build once at 2.750.000m : p

Also you can actually build 'inside' SL land mass, but you cant really walk inside it except sit on things.

Never really tried seeing how far down i could go, maybe ill try that , yay something to try.

As for issues, well avatars tend to get really wierd at high alltitudes, and sometimes you just wanish except your nametag, you cant see yourself others can tho (relog to fix that)
