hi...

2 days ago i was logged into sl fine, no problems except for a bit of lag....
yesterday, i installed windows vista business on my pc and now it wont let me log into sl..
every time i try to log in, i get an error saying the following:

'Secondlife is unable to run becasue your videocard drivers did not install properly, are out of date or are for unsupported hardware. please make sure you have the latest video card drivers and even if you do have the latest, try to reinstall them.

if you continue to recieve this message, contact customer service.'

i am using the same card i was using on XP, the drivers are up to date, i have even uninstalled it and reinstallled it twice... but i still get the error.

admitadly, i know nothing about hardware, so i dont really understand why its not working... i have checked the requirements for sl to be used with vista and my pc still meets these requirements.. so i dont understand why it wotn let me on :(

anyone have any ideas please?

What is the card and what drivers are you using?

Also, have you installed all the updates for Vista?

Well what u may need to do is uninstall all your graphic drivers, then reinstall them...sounds just like a bad install to me...if that doesnt work then go into safemode and uninstall them restart, go back into safe mode again install the updated drivers then u should be good...

Did u make sure and restart on the attempts? or have u tried doing it in safe mode? Just make sure when u do uninstall em..that u restart first before u install the update. Sorry if this doesnt help..best info i can give with information given..Goodluck to you

did all that... havent tried in safe mode yet...

i am new to vista.. so still working all the new gadgets out...
i have jsut discovered that my computer's Windows Experience Index base score is only 1.0, due to the graphics... everything else is about 5.9...
maybe that has soemthign to do with it?

User Account Control
the annoying pop up that ask " allow or deny" and so forth...its in control panel: User Accounts and family safety:User Accounts:Turn User Account Control on or off" It helps with some compatability on some programs..but doubt its causing your issue.
