Teleport issues?

Every time I try to teleport, I don't go anywhere, and I stop being able to move. If I turn off "Fly", I hang in the air. I've tried relogging three times, and it's still happening. Also, it doesn't seem to matter where I'm trying to go. So far, I've tried Bitrate City, Nakaa (Ambat is the hub for that, I think), and Marunogere (Clyde hub).

Did I perha... Well, seven minutes after I started writing this post, I've finished the teleport to Bitrate City, but there's no land, yet. How long are things taking to rez, today?

I'm having the same issue as well...and I tried to fly to a destination and was blocked all the way around by black boxes in a sim...guess we're all stuck till this is all ironed out.

[Expletive deleted]... Well it's good to know it's not just me. I was starting to be concerned.

Went away for about half an hour, came back... Seems to work for me now. Thanks to whoever fixed that, it was driving me mad.

...Still having unusual amounts of lag on teleport, though, even though it's no longer game-stopping lag.

Glad its working for someone now...I haven't been able to teleport since they brought the servers back up. I have been stuck in the air so many times it isn't even funny. Just in case any of the Lindens do see this, here is something I did notice when I tried to port.

I was on my property in Meribel and attempted to port to my property in Pomponio. When I found myself floating in space unable to move, I looked at the title bar and it said the region was Pomponio, but had the name of my property in Meribel listed instead of the name of my home location in Pomponio. Don't know if this makes any difference, but as a former beta tester, I found that sometimes even the smallest things matter.

Please, Please, Please, get this fixed...I can only stay in one place for so long before I go nuts..LOL

My issue with the teleport was it changed my AVI! I did have the initial problem of teleport not working, but it did work at the second attempt. However, I noticed my hair had changed from long, blonde to short, brown! I looked at myself from the front and to my horror my AVI had changed completely, making me look really ugly! I was mortified..... fortunately, a friend had already suggested making a note of all settings under Appearance but I had not got around to doing it, so went back to the Preview which I knew was OK and got all the settings there. I then logged back in and spent about 30 minutes changing all the settings back - to my extreme relief I am now looking the same as I did in 1.4!

Needless to say I haven't teleported since and just flew between events - OK, it took a bit longer, but not as long as it would have to change all my settings back again. For now I am going to avoid teleporting until there is a patch released.

This is how I looked after teleporting, though I did change my hair before taking the screenshot as at first I thought that was all that had changed.

Teleporting is a nightmare for me still.

Mary, if you Make an Outfit out of your entire AV, including skin shape etc, you can just drag it back on again, far easier than noting down settings.

Same issue here - can not teleport, flying over sim borders makes attachments disappear etc.

I'm having this as well. I can fly but when I reach the edge of an island, I hang in mid air like suspended animation. But I can freely turn around and fly over the same island without problems. Teleporting does not work, nor do my landmarks.

Same here, and with all my other friends. TP'in and even flying between sims is just not working.

Even after the 1.5 patch patch this morning, still nothing! I work in the software industry and am AMAZED that these patches aren't more thoroughly tested before public release! You can't tell me that nobody on the testing team experienced these issues, too many residents are complaining of exactly the same thing! Let's get our acts together LindenLab!

I dont know why we even bother in here, as not one linden has even responded to any posts in the thread.

i'm failing about 95% of my teleports. or they take a *very* long time for me to arive.

I've just began running into teleport issues. When I try to teleport I get the teleport screen when I think I've teleported...I end up where I started and cannot move and must restart. When I try to Exit SL it runs through the sign off sequence and then crashes giving me a crash report screen.

I understand how patches are a pain in the a$$. I've been through much worse in other MMORPG (ie WWIIOL...no im not an SL WWIIOLer). I support your efforts and look forward to an update or fix. Thanks for your hardwork.

If you need crash reports (for MAC OSX) I am more than happy to provide them.

UPDATE: While I was writing this after trying a teleport...I go switch back to SL and am now where I was going, but its nothing but water and still can't move.

A few other details....It has the name of the SIM with the closest Teleport Hub, but my parcel name is still there and my music stream is still playing..not sure if that helps, but I figured I would report it.

Teleporting will fail (or take forever) if you are wearing attachments because our main asset server is heavily loaded (the main http server on our back end that serves inventory items, images, and various other files used for transporting stuff around).

We're not sure why it's loaded yet, but we're working on it. In the meantime if you really need to teleport the only way it will work is if you remove all attachments.

Ewww. Unpleasant, but thanks... This will cause a lot less restarting. Good luck with finding the problem.

=[EDIT]= Ok, I've taken off all the attachments, and now it tells me teleport is blocked. I relogged, and it was still happening, so I relogged again... Guess what... It's still happening. I'm currently stuck in Cape Destiny, which is a bleeding *island* so I can't get anywhere by flying...

Ahh so that's why I never have any problems. I stopped using attachments a long time ago because I kept getting stuck between sims

When I teleported, I turned into a voluptuous woman, wearing my regular clothes, and with a beard!

The comment about the attachments makes sense, I did a couple of teleports early yesterday and they were ok, but then I went to an event and got dressed up (with attachments). After that, it was unusable so I logged in frustration. I'll try it later minus the baubles.

I took off all my attachments and still can't teleport. I want to go to Burning Life

I've tried it without the attachments and I've just made at least 10 successful teleports. It seems to work for me.

But therein is the problem! When I've tried to teleport I have NO attachments (unless clothing counts)! If I try to fly there instead, I hang over the edge of an island unable to fly, walk, or teleport!
