So I was in world today and had music playing on the land I rent. I logged off to check my email and stuff and I could still hear the music playing. I finished my emails closed my windows and took off my headphones and went away from the computer for about 30 mins. Came back and put my headphones on again and I was still hearing music! Anyone know why or how I can fix this please?

Evangeline,
It simply means that SL didnt shut down properly. While the interface closed, the program is probably still running in the background.
Best way to check is to hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and click on Task Manager. Under the Processes tab, check to see if secondlife.exe is still listed. If it is, highlight it and click End Process. That should kill SL completely and stop the music from playing.

I,ve had that happen before on one of the 3rd party viewers, if you do the CTRL ALT DEL and bring up processes you will find the viewer didn't shutdown completely and is still running in the background
