transparent textures make prim glow additive, anything that glows behind transparent stuff gets much brighter.
openGL cant do that much in an open modifiable environment with the used texture compression. |

Ctrl+Alt+F7 ? Does that work for you?

In the advanced menu (cant remember exactly where) have you unchecked Fast Alphas?
Also check in the graphics tab in preferences, click the hardware button and see if antialising is set... if it is, set to none, if not, try setting it to x2.... perhaps you can give us a clue to what Graphics Card and drivers you are using? _____________________

Fast Alpha is unchecked.
I have everything under graphics options maxed except draw distance. I disabled AA, nothing. I put it at x2, nothing. My card is a GeForce 9600GT, and as far as drivers, I have no idea. *EDIT* I have taken some screenshots of the problem to try and help identify it. Luckily there are very few things that the problem seems to affect, the most noticeable being snow textures....however, I am using a snow texture on my land and it is not affected, so it's possible it could be something else. I've been troubleshooting and the only way to get rid of it so far is turn off Basic Shaders: -Basic Shaders on- http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n257/DiegoWolfwood/glitch_001.png -Basic Shaders off- http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n257/DiegoWolfwood/glitch_002.png |

Did you at any time play with the "renderGlow" setting in the debug menus?
The only time I've seen that kind of "everything glowing" problem is when I left that turned on from before the glow option existed. The first time I used Windlight I had horrible problems until I found that on. _____________________

Advanced -> Debug Settings...
Then enter "renderglow" in the menu combo box. _____________________
