then get a xps
you need a (halfway) powerfull NVIDA or ATI graphics card, preferably non GO or MOBILE models that have their own ram

as much ram as you can get
and a reasonably fast cpu

the 1600$ base gaming model would do ok ... but you can get better, faster, and cheaper @ ibuypower.com

What about:

Dell XPS M1530

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T7500 (2.2GHz/800Mhz FSB, 4MB Cache)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition
High Resolution glossy widescreen 15.4 inch LCD(1680x1050) & 2MP Camera
3GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz (2 Dimms)
Size: 250GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive
Slot Load DVD+/-RW (DVD/CD read/write)
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT
Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-card

How do you thing?! Is the SL will run well?

This notebook should work nice with SL. Good CPU and VGA power and the other features like RAM and harddrive are also very good.
I personaly would select Windows XP as operating system despite the fact that
Windows XP has no DirectX 10 support.
