I am having trouble installing either 0.3.0 or 0.3.1 client. When I click on the install button after running the setup executable, it complains about another instance of SL running, and I need to close that before installation can continue.

However, SL is not running. Hasn't been running since I rebooted yesterday.

This is getting annoying as I cannot install the new client so I cannot get in.

This also happened with the original install, 0.2.5. I got around it by running the file from Internet Explorer as opposed to downloading it first and then running it. However this workaround doesn't seem to work with the new install.

The most common problem is that you have a folder open on your desktop called "Second Life". The installer (being dumb) thinks this is the application running.

Name the folder something else (like Second Life Files, or SL, or anything) and try to install again.

We'll look into fixing the installer for the next release.
