Hey guys,
I have had Second Life running great for about a week at res 1024x768 with no problems. I did not play the game for a week and when I tried to play today it would go to a black screen, and the only way I could get out was to Ctrl+Alt+Del (and then pressing enter to shut down.. Ctrl+alt+del window never showed)
I uninstalled and reinstalled and I got the error "Cannot run Second Life at 1024x768' and something about run in window. I have Win98 SE, Geforce 4, 256 RAM and 1,7 Ghz processor. I would appreciate any help.

Sorry I do not have an answer to your problem, but please consider upgrading to XP from 98. Not only will you be able to get up-to-date drivers and better performance, but most important is getting your PC up to date in security. Going on-line with a Windows 98 machine really puts you at risk. Here is a good link to read up on it a little: http://www.cert.org/tech_tips/win-95-info.htmlI didn't mean disrespect for your setup, it is just that I work in information security and get to see what goes on out there on a daily basis and it has made me a little paranoid. Cheers, Tito

Don't attempt to run SL full-screen. Run it in a window instead.
