Odd note, while SL was down I noticed that if you leave SL running at the login screen, it eats 110% of your CPU. CPU use is actually higher at the login screen doing nothing than it is while in game :D

lol Si I noticed this too. It's not like my comp is far behind either, but somehow I can't render in Bryce and open SL at the same time, but if SL is already running it's fine lol

Yeah, I was kinda irked when I noticed mp3s were skipping with nothing open but a couple terminals, a web browser, and SL at the login screen. This is not normal behavior on a 3.06ghz P4 :P So, naturally I blamed IE first and killed it before opening task manager to see SecondLife at 51% cpu usage (because windows is dumb, and thinks HT is 2 CPUs, so 51% == 102% CPU)

May I suggest you hide your desktop better in further screenshots?

I noticed that newview.exe (the SL app) seems to use 100% or whatever is available of your CPU whenever its open, regardless of sim, bandwidth, server load, or anything else.
