Major avatar/clothes loading issue?

OK I logged in today, last night SL was working fine, better then most days. When I logged in today it gave me a message saying "your clothes are still loading, you might not see it but others will" or something like that.... So I went "ok..." I tryed to swich avatars and it totaly messed EVERYTHING up.... I cant swich skins, I cant edit apperance, I cant put clothes on or take clothes off, I cant add things like belts, ears, a tail, wings. None of it..... I tryed teleporting to another place, keep giving me the error "cannot teleport you in a timely manner." if I get any place when I log out and log back in (hoping that would fix the problem) I found myself at the place where I logged in the first time as if I hadnt even logged in before that. I have a socks, panties under shirt that adds a tiger stripe pattern to my avatar, it shows its on the avatar when its not as far as my inventory says and its in a differnt color, normaly its yellow but its white. my friend told me to clear my cashe, I did, logged off and logged back in.... now its WORSE.... I cant even see most of my inventory cause it has a bright orange stamp next to it that says "loading" and its been there for over 20 minutes now.

Can some one ANY ONE help me?

When you get that message it means your clothing and most things in your inventory are still downloading to your client. Sometimes you can help the loading along by typing in the search field in your inverntory box random letters. What I do is type "abc" then "DEF". I let the search start before I type in the latter..............it seems to help for some odd reason.

Another thing that message may indicate is that you need to clear your cache. You do that in your preferrences. Log off and then log back on.

I dont think it would be loading for 20 minutes when I just leave it alone, I have done what you suggested but it didnt work. as far as the cache thing you said if you read my post iv done that, twice now. didnt do a thing.

You sometimes have to clear your cache more than twice............up to a half dozen times for some people.

I'm only trying to help.........but I'm limited by next to absolutely nothing to work with other than the generic "too dos" that cause an awful lot of user problems. What are you computer specs? Have you tried uninstalling your SL and reinstalling? You loose nothing by doing that since everything is stored on LL's servers. If you decide to give that a shot do a search of your computer after you've uninstalled it and manually delete anything that relates to SL before reinstalling.

The "clothing downloading" issue is common.........it means what I said earlier that your client is not recieving your inventory from the servers. If you cannot get it cleared by the usual methods then you might submit a support ticket and let the Lindens help you.

One other thought.........are you using a wireless network connection? Wireless and SL have many problems for many people........try a hard wired connection if so.

no wireless... cleared cache I donno how many times, I unloaded the WHOLE game, deleted everything I could find relating to SL including the install file, redownloaded it and installed. same problem, fixed nothing.

Then next step is calling your ISP or submitting a support ticket.........or both.

Without computer specs we cannot speculate on a setup problem or hardware issue.

unless my video card or something died over the time of about 5 hours I dont think its hard ware not to mention computers not even 3 months old so it shouldnt have ANY problems. I did a cheak with a friend of mine he says computers running fine. I put in a ticket havent heard anything and I dont have a static IP it changes and its not my connection cause everything but SL is running fine.

You might be correct..........but my bet is different.

ITs been fixed, For how long I donno. A friend told me to go "Control + Alt + delete" and shut the game down that way and log back in, did it twice and everything works fine just slow to load but not nearly as slow to load as it was. it takes maybe 5-10 seconds instead of 20 minutes.
