Does anyone know how to execute the SL Client without having it detect the Hardware as I can't get the dam thing to load.

I Know the Hardware is Good but SL doesn't seem to thing so.

Machine Used:

1GB Athlon Processor
1GB Memory
256MB Nvidia GeForce 6200

Error Messages:

If I use the drivers that came with the card then NONE. The SL Crash Logger just comes up and shuts the software down.

If I upgrade the drivers from the Internet which are a couple of months newer I get a different error message saying that the drivers are out of date.

Can anyone HELP!!!

You might try
-noprobe disable hardware probe

You can try -noprobe, but it may not make the "drivers out of date" message go away. There are a couple of known causes for this message, which people get even with the most recent available drivers.

1. You MUST uninstall the previous drivers before upgrading them. SL checks registry variables for version that most programs do not bother to check, and sometimes these variables are not reset by the new drivers if the previous driver is not uninstalled. Last time I looked, -noprobe did not disable this check.

2. You can sometimes see this message when your graphics driver has OpenGL parameters set to values that SL doesn't like. If the "drivers" error persists, open up your graphics driver's information panel and copy the settings here. People who know that card better than I do can tell you if anything's wonky with the settings.

Good luck!

Also tried -noprobe. The command does what it says but it doesn't solve the problem. Many thanks for the info though.

After Uninstalling the old device drivers the system reverted back to VGA (Compatible) but anything that needs to be taken out of registry manually I would need further information on.

Even tried a different hard drive NO JOY!!
