More information would be useful: 1) When exactly does it crash? 2) What error message does it give? 3) What operating system do you have? 4) Do you have the latest mainboard and graphics card drivers? 5) What graphics card do you have? 6) Have you made any hardware changes to your computer recently? 7) Have you installed any software recently? Have you tried reinstalling SecondLife? 9) Are you using a custom color set for SecondLife? 10) Have you tried deleting SecondLife's disk cache?

1) When exactly does it crash?
Around about "initializing" whilst connecting to the world
2) What error message does it give?
"Smartheap out of memory. Please free up memory and try again." (machine has 512MB)
3) What operating system do you have?
W2K
5) What graphics card do you have?
GeForce with 128MB Ram
If I'm the only one with the problem maybe I'll try installing it on another machine and see if that corrects the problem.

I used to get that error a LOT when running on my 1 gig HD. Check your disk space, it usually means windows cant further expand the swap file.
