That usually happens because of LAG ~ you can try to re-log after 5 min and go to another region with less Lag. It could also be that your avatar is wearing too many script and you are in a heavy Lag area. If all fail, you may want to un-install and re-install ~ it may fix the problem. Good Luck!!

I am having exactly this problem. Doesn't matter where I am in SL or wether i'm wearing scripts or not. I can log in stay for 10 to 15 mins then it just stops. No crash nothing, the connection just seems to cut me. I've tried disabling all firewalls. Updating my drivers, rolling back my drivers, rebooting my router, restarting the connection to the adsl. Absolutely nothing I have done has made a difference. This is also intermittent, some days I can stay a while, even all day with no trouble, but the last 3 days it's been acting as above.
my System specs. Amd dual core 4600 2gb ram ati 19500t graphics card Windows xp.
I am not having connection problems in other games.

It sounds like you are being silently disconnected. I don't know how to fix it. It happens to me once or twice per week.

MadameSprout, are you using a wireless network at home? SL is notorious for acting like that on wireless networks.. From: callianne Constantineau I've tried disabling all firewalls. . Nooooo.. Don't do that! If you can get in and walk around for a minute, it's not a firewall issue..

When that has happened to me in the past it usually means I need to restart my router and modem. On a few occassions Vista has lost the connection on it's own for no apparent reason.........a reboot of the computer cures that for me. And, one other thing that happened was my NIC needed an updated driver.
Maybe it's one of those three things. I always start with the simpliest first which is restarting the router and modem.

I tried all the usual stuff, rebooting routers, rebooting comps, and doesn't help, but some days it settles down after a while, others it doesn't, and my firewalls are back on now, since we ruled those out as the problem.
