Log Out Limbo: Unable to log back in

While flying through SL my avatar proceeded to fly off the sim and froze up when I attempted to teleport back home. When I attempted to log back on I was greeted with

Login failed.
The system is logging you out right now.
Your Account will not be active until
2008-08-13 17:54:36 Pacific Time.

I did manage to log back in a half-hour after receiving the message, but all the textures around me were messed up and I attempted to log out properly, thus far it has been 16 hours and I have been unable to get back on. Everyone I know on there that I have been able to contact has stated that I'm still logged in and I have been able to get onto an alt account.

It sounds like you are ghosted and that sim will need a restart.

Heh, unfortunately I don't even have a clue which sim I was in, I was flying around the main grid.

And I apparently show up way off the map whenever someone tries to track me.

I'll send you an IM and pay you 1L in case that jiggles you free (doesn't usually work now though). A forced TP from a Linden will work.

The 1L$ didn't work, trying to get a friend to find a Linden online who can help.

I have a similar problem...

After teleporting I was unable to move my avatar around. I tried TP'ing to other locations numerous times, that also failed.

I decided to logout & login again... but now everytime I try to log back in I get this error message...

Login Failed
The system is logging you out right now.
Your account will not be available until
2008-08-17 16:03:18 Pacific Time.

The time it states, I'm allowed to log back in, is always 5 minutes ahead of the actual time.

This happened yesterday & I've tried lots of times to login since...
...any ideas anyone.

So how do I get one of these...

nevermind, problem fixed.

I too have the same problem... 6 hours later still cant login. Is someone else using my AV?
So has anyone been able to figure out what to do about this problem?

If you can't get the sim rebooted file a support ticked unter the category "can't login" and mention that you are "ghosted". Don't worry about where you are - support will find out.

As long as you know the sim you are ghosted in submit a support ticket or do a live chat and request a sim restart............just tell them you are ghosted.

If you do not know what sim you are in I think Lindens can find you if you give them your avi name and restart that sim.

Something that is handy to do is to allow all your alts to map all the other alts. That way you can log your alt in and tp to where your ghosted alt is located......get the sim name and contact LL for a restart of that sim. That might a little late for right now, but once you can get in you can do it.

Avs can be mapped by Lindens anyway, so you will get help even if you don't know where you are stuck at. The presence can also be manually reset by a Linden without the sim being rebooted (at least this worked for me in one case - don't know how though, must have been some magic trick *lol*).
