Might just be another newbie thing, but...
When I'm modifying the appearance of clothing and I change the texture, everything goes fine till I try to change the color. The screen does this odd stripey thing and jumbles up all the different parts of the background. The window for color selection comes up unharmed though. Since it's still functional I might just let it go...anyone have anything similar??

Dell Inspiron XPS
P4@3.4 GHz w/HT
ATI Radeon Mobility 9700
1 GB RAM
Running XP pro (not upgraded to SP2)
I just upgraded to the omega drivers yesterday--but I don't know if the texture screen worked before the upgrade or not being that I hadn't tried to access it.
Anything else I can tell you??

Just standard questions, really  Do you have your latest drivers for EVERYTHING? motherboard drivers, agp drivers, sound drivers, stuff like that? Also, I might be wrong, but SL is notoriously picky running at all on laptops. Especially ATI Mobility laptops. I'm not even sure if it's fixable LF

I had some issues with the AGP drivers--originally I was getting an error when I started SL that said they were out of date, but neither the Intel update nor the Dell update seemed to fix it. When I updated to the Omega video drivers the error stopped coming up. I downloaded the latest BIOS update about a week ago...running onboard sound (unfortunately) but hope to get a USB card soon...I'm downloading the audio drivers as we speak and will get those done ASAP. Thanks again... UPDATE Who woulda thunk that the audio drivers could make my screen act all funky? Well that problem seems to be fixed. Thanks so much! I'll make sure to check drivers next time something seems off....  UPDATE NO. 2 OK so I was just kidding about that working. It did work on one screen. I'll just thank my luckystars that it doens't freeze me and start up dumb crashlogger. -night |
