I get logged out of Second Life, everytime I try to log in, and get this message:

You have been logged out of Second Life:
The viewer has detected mangled network data indicative of a bad upstream network connection or an incomplete local installation of Second Life. You might consider restalling, to see if this resolves the issue. If this problem continues, please contact support@secondlife.com with complete details of your network connection such as ISP, DSL/Cable, router, switches, and network card.
Click continue to look at existing IM and chat. You will not be able to perform any other operations. Click 'Quit' to exit Second Life immediately.

I'm at location 92,247. Just want general information to see if I can fix this problem qucikly, and easily.

Try these, in this order, until you can login:

empty your SL cache, (c:\documents and settings\<username>\application data\secondlife\cache)

set login location to home

try using a forced login TP to get yourself away from the current sim you are in
( secondlife://morris/128/128 )

if all of the above fail, well, there is the forum search button that will bring up a few topics about other people having this problem

and you could always try a reinstall of SL
or reboot of your computer/router/modem

Or better yet...

Uninstall/Reinstall.

Then, click this link while SL is still shut down. (DON'T CLICK THE LINK IF YOU'RE STILL ON THE ORIENTATION ISLAND!)

If she is still on Orientation Island, she shouldn't be clicking either of those links...don't want her to miss OI!

i had this problem last week & there is only one way to fix it. clearing out your cache doesn't work & neither does uninstalling & reinstalling. the place where you are is corrupt or something & there is no way to get out. you're stuck in a horrible loop. get someone you trust to log in as you from another computer. get them to tp you somewhere else & then log off. when you log in from your puter, you will be in the new location. find a place, any place to set as you your home location & then go into preferences & click the tab that tells second life to start you from your home location when you log in.....not where you last were which is the default. it's been smooth sailing for me ever since.
