I have a picture of my bike against a white background. All I want to do is make the background clear so I can upload just the bike. Every time I think I got it right I upload and it has the white background. Someone please help me I'm so lost.  |

Your picture needs to be saved with the alpha channel, which will up the picture size from 24 to 32 bits. It sounds like your alpha channel is getting left out when you save your picture. I'd say you might be masking the wrong part of your picture, but then your bike would be transparent ;p
Ah...or, maybe you are not correctly masking the areas around the bike. I haven't fooled with PSP in a while, Photoshop makes life so much easier, but I think I'll pull down a copy of PSP and get the process down for my Alpha Channel class coming soon to an area somewhat west of a welcome area near you.

i thought i was saving it with the alpha channel but i have no clue. i'll be looking forward to that class though
