Why is there an option for the web site to remember our login if it don't work?

It works for me, of course, in order for it to work I have to use IE. Some website cookies don't work well with any other browsers except IE. I like to use Mozilla for most of my browsing but often have to switch because of the cookie problem.

IE is no longer supported on the Mac, and the cookies don't work in Safari. (Actually, I don't think they worked in IE of the Mac, either.)

Arg, not the cookies again. This is a very frustrating problem for us. At Linden, we use Mozilla (Windows, Mac, Linux), IE (Windows), Safari (Mac), and the website always works for us. Our webmaster has been pulling his hair out over this one for a long time. If you are experiencing a cookie problem, and can reproduce it, and can send the exact versions of your web browser, plugins, OS, and anything that might be integrated into your web browser (like google toolbar, etc), please send that info to webmaster@secondlife.com. If you have problems, and then make a single change that fixes those problems, and can tell us what the change was, that would be even better.

FTR, I use both IE on Windows XP Pro with the latest and greatest updates at w*rk, and Mozilla/IE on XP Pro at home, and the cookies work for me (after some persistence to get the cookies to stick in the first place, IIRC, but that was months ago)
