If I already have SL open, I get a newview.exe crash when I click a URL, presumably because it appears that it's trying to open a second copy of Second Life instead of directing the first copy.
What I'd like to see when clicking on a secondlife:// URL would be for it to create a landmark prompt in my already-running copy of SL, the same dialog I get if someone gives me a landmark.
If SL is not already open, then it'd be great if it could start me at that location in the world upon login.
For now, the bug is that clicking on a secondlife:// link while SL is already running doesn't work.

I get this too.
And I agree with your suggestion also.

Well, if we did that, we could say secondlife://liasonland and go to the secret Linden hideout. This used to be a bug, actually

Which is exactly when this behaviour started occuring. It's the second instance of newview.exe thats crashing, apparently some DDE stuff goes wrong when it tries to tell the first instance about the landmark.
