Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

So I have tried both the release candidate and the release version of Second Life and with both I am getting a Runtime Library Error that says this:

Runtime Error!

Program: ...secondlifereleasecandidate\secondlifereleasecandidate.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.


THIS is all that the error says i have uninstalled/reinstalled drivers and things like that and still the same problem. I have downloaded ALL windows XP home edition automatic updates and even a hot fix that was suppose to fix this but did not. I was told that it is not the runtime libraries problem but the application it self. So here I am. Need any other info just let me know.

The GFX card is an nvidia GeForce 9500m GS 512 mb, RAM: 3gb, Windows XP Home with service pack 3 installed. An Acer Aspire 6920 laptop.

I ran secondlife fine all day yesterday and today and then i exited it and tried to go back in and this error came up, so nothing changed on my computer between exiting and starting second life seconds later.

Try to reinstall it but sounds like you may have a virus or your computer is turning into a robot and you gotta kill it before in in salves the human race
