editing script + client crash = script contents deleted?

Not sure if I can reproduce this on command, but here's how it went last night:

Had created a new script inside an object. Had saved the script. Was editing it when the client crashed. (This would of course happen right at 10 p.m.!)

Today, my object was still there, and its contents were still in it (script plus two other objects), but the script when opened was completely blank. I closed it. Reopened it. Still blank. Did this several times. Was always blank, and never prompted me to save changes.
