First thing is to clear your cache and relog so that you and the asset server get back into synch.

I would get the time stamp of when you bought the item, I believe it should be on your transaction data, also get the place you bought it at, because most merchants have more than one location, find the creator name, and send them a nice IM stating what happened and give them the transaction info, and make sure it's nice, not a "OMG YOU RIPPED ME OFF!!!" kind some people I heard have sent lol...

99% of the merchants will contact you right back, and usually replace the item, they know how SL screws up, and I was told most vendors keep data for 30 days, they will know you bought it from them and I think know if you got it, once you sent out the IM and you haven't gotten a response back in a week, IMs do get capped, I would copy that im to a notecard before you send it, and then send the notecard, it will say if they got the notecard, still no reply after that chalk it up to the 1% of those merchants that don't care once they got your Lindens, and note never to shop there again, and spread the word to every friend you have, to many people selling things to have to deal with bad customer service just like in RL, time to take your business elsewhere..

How to find out the store owners name? Go to the store and right click edit on the vendor or merchandice, it will have creator name in General, and a button to click for their profile to send a IM.
