My OWN rendering issues-

Before you go telling me to read Dougs post, mine has nothing to do with an ATI card.

I have played SL flawlessly for over a year, without issue rendering wise. Now, for the last couple of weeks, *nothing* on my land, no textures will render for me - BUT only on my land. If i walk to the next door neighbors or teleport to my apartment on Avalon Island everything renders just peachy, no problems at all.

To remedy this issue I have updated by Graphics card drivers- A Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 - I have cleaned the caches of my computer, deleted all temp files and cookies. I have deleted and reuploaded textures- I have reduced my draw distance to 64, I have turned off all local lighting. And NOTHING on my land will render clearly for me- now it must for others, because i make sales at my shop and i know people wouldn't puchase anything blindly.

This seems to be completely isolated to only *my* land where I have these issues. I have a brand new dell dimension 4800. This has only recently become an issue, as I just bought the land in Zoe, didn't happen in Boardman, didn't happen in Avalon, doesn't happen anywhere else. Just on my land in Zoe, and it seems to be isolated to me and the way I interact with the plot.

Any ideas?

I don't know if this is the same problem, but I seem to have problems with textures as they don't render clearly on my land somehow. I still have to play with the settings to see where the problem lies though.

Okay, I've just talked to Phay and solved her problem for her. The textures weren't loading fully. As it turned out, despite having a 128MB video card, her SL client's video memory was set to 32MB.

Setting the video memory slider to 128MB fixed the problem.

As SL no longer has a texture detail slider in the Preferences dialog, the client attempts to fit textures into the available video memory. In a texture-intense scene like the part of Zoe where Phay's shop is located, for example, people with lower amounts of video RAM will see lower detail levels on their textures.

Does this resolve the problem you're having, Odys?

Thanks a lot, Catherine. It looks like that did the trick. Sorry I did not reply any sooner, but I couldn't find this thread anymore. I only just now saw I could search for all my threads :P

Thanks a lot! :)

Just remember: Render unto Ceaser what is Ceaser's...
