Ever since the sims have been taken offline today for maintenance, I can not get scripts to save.
I make the changes to a preexisting script which is in a prim inworld, press "save" ... It compiles , than a blue box pops up saying "Unable to upload asset"

What is happening, I could manipulate scripts just fine before the maintenance ?!

(( No script I have tried modifying has saved / uploaded ))

"Unable to upload asset" is the new failure message, translated from Linden it means you're using the wrong protocol to upload (one of the changes that failed to make it into the 1.27 server release notes is that you're now required to use a new upload protocol for several asset types, including scripts).

Check this out:
'Server 1.27 Pilot - " Unable to upload asset " when uploading a script'
Resolved - Expected Behavior
http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-4528

Sldev thread that got absolutely no response:
https://lists.secondlife.com/pipermail/sldev/2009-July/014715.html

Some possible reasons you might be using the wrong protocol:

* Viewer that is very old or developed by a third party that wasn't aware the change was going to happen
* HTTP traffic being blocked or something preventing capabilities (HTTPS transactions between you and sim####.agni.lindenlab.com) from completing (if this is the case, I'd also expect you to notice teleports and voice not working. You might just try a relog)

Best wishes

So one minute today I can script fine, the next I am no longer able to use SL scripting at all?

Remember, this happened TODAY, not last week.

Yeah, you wouldn't have seen anything different until you tried to compile while sitting in a sim running 1.27, and there were still plenty of sims running 1.26 until last night.

What client version are you using to compile scripts on your end?
