Hi there! I downloaded and installed Second Life not to long ago. Made my account/character ect, logged on hoping to have a good time. Well turns out theres a delay in the walking/talking in game. Such as, Ill hit the up key on the keyboard, 5-10 seconds later my character will finally move. Same with chatting, Ill type something, hit enter - 10-15 seconds later It finally shows to everyone else. I have a Vista computer, thinking its not because of that.. and I reset my internet connection a few times, so I dont think its that either , my internet is running perfectly at the moment, so I tried again. Theres still a delay. =/ Any help? I would love to play SL with out having to wait 10-20 mins to get acrossed a room -.-

I have that problem if I sign using an aircard sometimes... the signal shows strong but apparently it is not Big enuff to carry all the information needed. It is so frustrating. Maybe try your acct. from a friends computer.. download and do not save to their pc . course that just proves it is your pc or your connection and doesn't really narrow it down any.

I assume you are logging into Orientation Island (or whatever they call it now) which is probably very laggy. Once you get out of that sim see if the problem continues...........or try logging into a quiet sim. Philudoria is one that is seldom laggy.
