That's right. Honest to goodness buggery. Alpha textures: Whats up with alpha texture z ordering? Its a real big pain for me - I am making a real sweet looking bi-plane and due to the 31 prim limit, its a lot of alpha. And it looks like random garbage from certain angles due to all the alphas being the wrong z order. I know everyone is aware of this, just wondering if there is a fix in the works or a workaround I dont know about. 31 prim limit: Whats this actaully in aid of? It's really a 30 prim limit since the AV counts as a prim too I want to make my plane look as good as possible but the 30 prim limit is killing me. Hehe 12 of my prims are simply for the wireing that old bi-planes have. I could use more alphas for the wires instead but, see above. Time: While I am ranting - whats with the in-game time? float llGetTimeOfDay(); Gets the time in seconds since midnight in-world. When I get the time in seconds since Rose's last midnight, it works out to be 500 o'clock. And this in-world time seems to go at the same rate as real time, but I expected it to go faster (an in game day is really an hour or so) What exactly is this function returning?

the z-ordering bug is an old and known issue. I have the same problem at the disco. the 30 prim limit for physical objects is just an arbitrary restriction to lighten the load on the physics engine. I would love to see your biplane... is it rezzed, and where can i find it?

Ah. Well the plane is sitting on my deck at my office building. Location is in my sig. Rose 100,80 or so. It still needs a couple textures on the body, and I cant put some detailing prims on it cause I'm at 30 prims, but it's not bad. The best part was finishing it and turning on physics and it settled nicely on its wheels, didnt flip over or roll onto its nose or anything

i always hear people say it's *really* a 30 prim limit cause the avatar counts as one (i guess all the prims attached to the avatar don't count?) but i've never seen this..my plane is 31 prims and it works just fine with me in it. i actually got it to work with 32 prims once but i don't know how. btw..i don't know if "buggery" is really the word you want to use.
