In the past week I have had more than 5 returned objects... These are pieces of my Spook House... I own the land, I am not using all my alloted prims... and yet Linden Labs keeps returning objects to me... PLEASE LEAVE THEM ALONE... do not return them as they are parts of my Spook House!!!

Please stop returning these objects!!!!

Leave them the HELL alone!!!

They are part of something I built!

I am not using more prims than allocated so STOP IT!!!

A Paying Customer,
Sinatra

I just had parts of the Tehama Lodge returned to me, resulting in a build that is now "Swiss Cheese".

The Lindens wouldn't roll back the server because it will affect other builds, but they did take the time to help out someone else's build, but not mine.

I've had to destroy the build because to rebuild it by fitting in small pieces would have taken more time. Now rebuilding from scratch.

Thanks a lot Lindens,

A paying customer who is rethinking whether or not he should be.

Edit: Removed Rant, alreay in Rant Forum

This is a known bug.
A possible workaround would be to have someone else rez a bunch of invisible crap on your land.
Newer objects, and those belonging to other people, are returned before your own are even considered.

This "known bug" is of such enormous severity, that I simply can't believe LL hasn't put the brakes on everything until it's fixed. Forget animations, XMLRPC, sitting problems, workarounds (that prim buffer thing doesn't entirely work btw) whatever. FIX THIS it is SEVERITY 1.

What about the game dev competition? When cranking, I'm sure many of them will be near the limit. Do we have to worry about this? Beg pardon, but my confidence is at a low ebb.

I am getting 'object returned'
I go to the site and they are missing from the build.

Thanks for all the responses... this is a nasty bug, if that is what it is. Sorry to hear that it is happening to you guys also.

How about a response from Linden Labs?

They may consider fixing this before the possible conference. Otherwise there is the risk of customers showing up as an angry mob with torches & pitchforks! :D

Tcoz, before 1.2 came along, there was a known bug that could repeatably crash sims. While they didn't release a patch just for that, by the time 1.2 came along, it was already fixed.
They may have fixed it already in the development version, who knows?
From what LL has said, I get the impression that the next major release isnt too far away.

Well, sim crashes, ATI drawing wierdness, bad sitting poses, etc. are one thing. But, LOSS OF CONTENT IS A MAJOR BUG THAT REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION!!!!

Exactly Hank, thank you. Understating the severity of this doesn't do anybody any good. I'm also fully aware of all the changes in 1.2. and 1.1. and 1.0. And beta.

Fact of the matter is, you currently can not build something and push your prim limit, and know for a fact it will remain there. In a complex build, replacing objects can be very tricky...especially if you have not named all your objects. I mean, who makes sure they name every single one of their wall and floor panels with specific data regarding where you put it, like "Floor panel 01 NW <loc>". My house is still not in it's original state because I just don't have the patience to dig through my lost and found folder and find out exactly what has been returned. If this was to happen to the Vorago to any significant degree, I would not bother putting it back together, I'd just scrap the damn thing. Every day I log on afraid that this is going to be the case though. My confidence would increase if we had communication on the matter...tell the people what is wrong, what's the plan to fix it, and how to possibly avoid it for the time being. If the fact is, you should keep about 100ish+ objects free on your land, then so be it, at least we KNOW.

Also consider the obvious potential for griefing. This could very easily be taken advantage of. If I don't like you, I might very well be able to take your content out of the world.

I'd rather have sim crashes than this. Keep in mind this has already been announced as "fixed". And it may very well be...but it would seem the fix unfixed something else.
