My land has a 'dwell' # associated with it. Another piece of the same size and approx. location also has one, but its dwell is '0'. What is that?
I have no idea really what it is or what it means. I am sure it is probably important somewhere. Help and thanks!
(edited for clarity)

Not exactly... but...
It's a kind of score for the land based on the presence of avatars (not counting the owner) during a day, but also on the percentage of their time they spend there.
For example.
Avatar 'A' happened to be on a certain plot of land when she logged out yesterday, and so logs in on it today. She's busy, so she just does some reorganising of ther inventory, responds to some IMs, and logs out about 10 minutes later.
Now, this land has 100% of 'A's dwell for the day and gets a score for it. (Note it only counts above 5 minutes)
At the end of the day, it's all totalled up for everyone, and the days pot of dwell money is divided between them all.
It's very confusing, and the Lindens don't want us to know the exact calculations... but that's how it works, more or less.

Thanks Sio, that helps. I am glad to hear that not everyone 'gets' the dwell formula/calculation. Its like trying to figure out how a bonus is calculated in any business I guess - no one ever really knows! But at least I have an idea now.
