Hello everyone.

I am trying to connect Second Life from my workplace but all I get is Error in Connection. It stops when it reaches "Waiting for Region Handshake" and an error message will pop up.
It says something about connection between SL server or firewall thing.. I read the knowledge based supports and told me something like " firewall blocking UDP packets", and allow the specifics 443/TCP, 12035/UDP, 12036/UDP, 12043/TCP, and 13000-13050/UDP to be opened. After contacting my technical staffs who are in-charged of the firewall stuffs, he told me that he already allowed those ports but still, I could not connect to the server. The same problem faced. I also tried reinstalling Second life but the same problem appears again.

I hope someone could help me with this. Cheers~~

I would talk to my techs at work since they control the network you are using. It's possible that your network is too busy for SL to get the bandwidth it needs to function properly.

And, what kind of work do you do? My work would never allow me to play a game on their computers.

Hey Peggy.

I need to model this new project out in the Second Life. To promote/advertise this building out throughout Second Life. However, I still cannot log into the server. :(

Hmm.. I tried talking to them but they told me that they already allowed and stuffs like that. They asked me to email Second Life which apparently, i do not know how to get any of their emails regarding this problem. But I was wondering, is there anything to do with the pc's own firewall thing but not the whole company ones?
