Can't login: waiting forever for new TOS to load ...

I can't login. When I try, I get a message saying I need to agree to a new ToS. A screen to contain the new ToS appears, but says "Loading ..." for over 30 minutes.

Is there any way I can AGREE to the damned TOS, which never appears on my screen? The "I agree" button never goes active. The active button is Cancel.

The last time they did a ToS change for the QuickTime update, people got stuck the same way. The Lindens put on their blog to try clearing the browser cache (under the Web tab, not the usual one) plus the cookies on the same tab, then quit and restart. Hope that works for you.

Thanks, but no cigar. (BTW, I don't see any place to clear cookies.)

Same results with both Release Candidate 1.19.1(4) and the standard client.

Oh look at that, they took away the cookies button! Though it's a pain, can you manually empty out the SL settings directory (at least try the browser_profile folder first, if you'd like to avoid wiping everything unless necessary) ? If that doesn't do it to it, you'll probably need to go through LL support :/

ack, my mistake all along! Proxy/firewall stuff, as it turns out. Silly me.
