On the morning of 7/20/04, there are, by my count (of only a limited region, im not sure exactly how many this goes for..) 3 sims which are producing 30% packet loss for a majority of people. These sims include Abbotts, Cordova, and Kanin (one of the new Snow Sims). Upon entering these sims, packet loss flies up to 30% and hovers. I attempted to ping a number of sites, such as secondlife.com, google.com, etc., and recieved the same packet loss and > 200ms pings (whereas the 'control' for this experiment would be 26ms, which I got before entering the sim's in question). Attempts to teleport home from these sims causes the teleport to time out, and results in a 'locked' avatar which can only be rectified by relogging. Essentially, were it not for the 'Enter the world at home location' option, I would still be completely stuck in Abbotts. From what i've seen, this problem may not be affecting 100% of people, but 4 of 4 i've asked, in fact, have this problem. Is there anything that can be done about this, considering its essentially keeping many people from enjoying particular sims?
--edit--
I'm aware there is already another post describing similar problems in the Snow sims, but when these particular symptoms become apparant in Abbotts and Cardova, I figured it might be farther reaching than the 'newness' of the snow sims..
