Does anyone else here miss getting the Forum updates from Andrew Linden regarding the Havok2 implementation?

It seems this thread disappeared after the forum reorganization.

I loved this thread, please bring it back! :)

It will. I'm not saying SL will USE it, but it will be out there. And it is an even better upgrade than 1 to 2 was...

It's been delayed again. Taking longer than expected, etc.

Don't hold your breath, it probably won't get released until after Christmas. :/

Wasn't this (open attachment at this point) exactly the sort of thing that Havok 1 couldn't handle? So exactly what about 1.5 makes it viable now?

I'm guessing that it keeps the object in a bounding box on complex shapes, but...we'll see

No... It seemed like Havok was using the actual geometry for collision detection. If you take a max-size cube and cut it to within an inch of it's life, then spiral it fully... THEN Havok treats it like a cube. (This was a bug in preview.) Making it slightly less cut fixed the problem.
