In world music problem

Hi all,

ok, lets get the basics sorted first before i move onto the problem.

1: i have 'play streaming music when available' ticked
2: i can hear 'other' sounds (such as waterfalls etc)
3: the music volume control is up to maximum

and now onto the problem

when i first log in, i hear music just fine. after teleporting around for a bit, suddenly the music stops (even i visit the last place i was at before it cut out) although i can still hear 'other' sounds (waterfalls etc)

at the moment, the only way i seem to be able to get music back, is to log out, then back in again.

is there a reason this happens?
is there a way to stop it?
will i ever stop asking questions?

I have this same problem. I can't give you an answer but I can commiserate.

Have you tried clicking the music icon on your UI to turn it off then turn it back on? I always have to do that when I TP somewhere else that I was listening to music before. Sometimes when lag is high or the parcel is full the music will stop for no apparent reason.......turning off and back on fixes it for me. But, I'd never say it's a huge problem.

And, no..........you will never stop asking questions. If you do then I know you are done with SL. And I'd hate to have that happen.

i get this too. Stopping and restarting does not fix it. Turning music on and off in Preferences does not help either. Only re-logging will do.

I will try to remember to turn off music before I tp and see if it helps, but that will be a hassle.

I suspect its related to my modem or firewall.
