This game is too slow, to crashy, to unsure and stoller to can be fun. I getting bored to lost many items during soooo multiples SL crashes. That look like a stoll.....return my money back of all my items lost !!! Its to easy to say is crashes fault ! Day after day its more dificult to connect and stay connected without and bug or crashes freezes or malfunctions. i had love this game at begin but now SL seem works too much weird since 1/2 months. I had lost around 10 000l$ on items, i think i can be not happy and angry. My faith on this game and developpers is getting lower now.

WOW! June 2008 ... L$10,000 ... Jump in head-first much? (o.o)
On the technical side, what are your computer specs? Part of the problem is in expecting SL to be a game. Many systems that will play games fine will chug on SL just because there are many ways that SL isn't optimized to be "played". (=_=)
With all that monies you spent, I'm guessing you're a premium member. For all those lost inventory items, have you done a trouble ticket? When you do have problems like that, don't expect them to get automagically fixed... You gotta scream a bit to be heard. (^_^)y

I agree, I play WOW as smooth as can be, even in highly populated areas, but here my computer can't run anything else along side it, or else it crashes almost instantly, and we're talking a pretty high-powered computer. Either you might want to downsize your window, upgrade your RAM, proccessing power, or overall computer, or finally just not play Secondlife, which I highly do not recommend.

That's a fair amount of of money (10,000 lindens) to spend in a 1/2 month on a game (yeah, I consider this a game ). My question is why would someone jump in and spend that money when it would seem that the game never played satisfactorily on their machine? But, who am I to question? If you would list your computer specs it might help someone help you to get the game working for you. You seem intent on leaving........it's your choice. But, I can tell you that even with the problems SL has, it can be played successfully on a decent computer. It DOES NOT have to be high end......just something better than a basic email/internet browsing machine. The system MUST meet the minimum requirements LL gives for the game..........and, in my opinion, exceed those requirements by about 50%. Sorry to hear you lost so much in such a short period of time and hope you can get your machine to work with the game.........if you leave, then good luck.

I spend multiple times that sum every month, and that's not counting sim fees. I'm sorry but this guy is right and it has nothing to do with how much money he has spent in how much time. SL is just too laggy/crashy/undeterministic to be fun or even interesting.
You can't create something and expect it will work all the time as designed, you can't be sure you will be able to TP to your friend, you can't be sure the item you've bought yesterday is still in your inventory (if it ever was there in the first place, failed deliveries are common). I could go on and on like that.
It's been months since I've seen the grid behave more or less correctly, but it has really been a nightmare lately. I mean come on, some people have joined a month or two ago and this is SL for them. Lag, bugs, crashes. I am amazed there are *still* so many people online. Actually, sadly if things were working right we would be many more users at the moment. We were 40k almost a year ago, we're *only* 60k now. Isn't it supposed to grow exponentially ?
SL is dying I'm afraid, despite all the latest technical improvements. And that really makes me sad.

I have
* never lost an item from my inventory;
* never had an item rezzed in-world disappear for no reason;
* only experienced one failed transaction that cost me money, and it was a 35L item that wasn't even worth IMing the creator about; I just bought a new one a couple of days later.
I have also
* only occasionally experienced a failed TP on my first attempt;
* very rarely experienced a complete inability to TP anywhere at all, perhaps once or twice;
* very rarely experienced performance problems that were not the dominated by my own poor hardware and balky internet connection.
Have I just been exceptionally lucky? Or am I just doormat-tolerant? Because while SL struggles a bit when concurrency is at its highest, and people love to gripe about how awful it is, I just don't find it all that bad. Oh, sure, sometimes I am Ruthed (or white-clouded) and have to TP away and back to load my avatar properly. Sometimes I can't rez an item from my inventory when I want to. Sometimes I can't log in to SL when I'd like to, and I have to go do something else for 15 minutes or half an hour. But none of these things is really all that bad, on the scale of things.
Now I am not the owner of a big business who loses a significant amount of money every time logins are restricted or transactions broken; nor do I have to deal with a tower of IMs and notecards complaining about failed transactions. But truthfully, neither are most of us. So what's the deal with all the griping and name-calling and anger directed at LL? The product has its glitches, but it's not all that bad. If I didn't think it was worth what I pay into it - my membership and tier - I'd just leave. I'm sure I could find something else fun to do.

But, my biggest question is why would anyone so disatisfied with the game continue to pay L$10,000 in a month and a half........or as someone else said they spend multiples of that amount each month!! Maybe they are gluttons for punishment which is fine with me.......but, please, don't bore me with your loses. I would never pay for something that "took" my money without a return of some kind. Oh well, to each his/her own.
