Hello I have been trying to activate a new account for my girl friend and the site does not refresh after clicking on the new account confirmation link received by e-mail.
Please look in to this problem.

Hi, Hilton. The Lindens in charge of support don't actually read the forums, or so they say. If new registrations are down I bet they're aware of it already, but it is still very worthwhile filing a support ticket. Even if you're just a basic account, you can file a ticket on this, under the Special Request that addresses an account problem that prevents you from playing at all.

They did update the status blog not long after this thread got created...
Second Life Wiki and Public Issues Tracker both offline [UPDATE 10:35 AM PDT] - The problem is still being worked on at this time. Both the wiki and the Public Issues Tracker are currently unavailable to residents. can't acctivate an alt account

Hello I have been trying to activate a new account for my girl friend and the site does not refresh after clicking on the new account confirmation link received by e-mail. Please look in to this problem. Thank you. IT"S BACK!! i made an alt acct. for my in world prim baby to grow into a child so she may grow into an adult. anyway i got the E-Mail and clicked on the CLICK HERE TO ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT link found there. i have had it sit on the Activating your account … page for an hour with no luck. i have tried to log into the account and it is still not active. is there a way of getting another E-Mail sent or something i really want to get her up an going or some help period. if i have posted this in the wrong place please move it to the right place. |

This is happening to us too. We're constantly getting a 'Retype password' error when trying to create my friend's account.
