Navigational Beacons?

Is crashing into banlines at sim crossings still a major issue?
I see a lot of old posts about it, and no mention of a fix.

If so, have people tried setting up navigational beacons to
mark safe crossing points? Is there any standard for these?

Banlines are still around though mostly on mainland (I'm pretty sure most estates don't allow them). I think the reason you don't read about them much anymore is that LL has built a pretty nice road and railway system on Linden Protected land that people can drive or walk on without runnng into them. Plus people have figured out that banlines don't do much for privacy anyway so they don't use them as much. Now it's the stupid security systems that eject you with little or no warning........but that's a different thread. :)

And no I don't know of any beacon system to navigate around them.........but if you stay on Linden land you won't run into them.
