Ok so Da Boom is also included in this recent lagtastic release of 1.5 up(down)grade.

I will be posting each sim I travel through that has horrible stats like this. Before 1.5 Da Boom was great.

I think that this is because 1.5, unlike earlier releases, allows re-allocation/redownloading of server code to the first available sim hardware.

And, I believe, that the older sims are old, old hardware.

Lusk was sim3.agni for the longest time. It was slow. (60 sfps)
Then, we were sim297.agni after 1.5, and it was fast.(400 sfps)

From what I hear, Amida used to be sim15x.agni, and was fast. (600+ sfps)
Then, after 1.5, Amida's code grabbed sim5.agni, and went down to 30 sfps.

Check help->about, and see what your sim DNS name is.

I have a feeling that hardware hasn't been upgraded, it's just that now, the hardware isn't attached to the actual sim, and the code gets downloaded to whatever hardware on a first come first serve basis.

So, I guess now, each sim gets the slow ones, in rotation.

What would be proper would be to remove the old, slow hardware, and replace it with hardware that can keep up with today's SL.

Though, I'm not positive this is the scenario.

I appreciate the hardware upgrade in Lusk. It's been about 8 months sorely needed.

But I really feel bad for whoever got Lusk's old machine. :\

Actually, were I a database/hardware guy, I'd be going batshit insane if the Sims kept rotating the hardware. "Okay, Da boom is having troubles.. let's see -- oh wait, it's good now. But now Shinda is having problems, it's -- dammit, now its' Slate.... and now Tan? God dammit!"

How do you pinpoint a problem down if the sims just bounce around problems? The world is too big for that now.

De Haro down to 150-180 sim FPS since 1.5.3, from 1300-1500. Should this be considered normal?

I visited the sims in this thread just now. It's the middle of the night pst now. Here are the stats.

DaBoom 40 23 people
Lusk 100 3 people
DeHaro 80 1 person (me)
Muir 30 3 people

No comment except -
23 people at the Edge in DaBoom at 3 in the morning? What is that, some sort of Club Elite is temporarily closed effect?

reminds me of a old story about two telephone engineers...

call would come in reporting a problem.
first engineer would go out and move fuse in exchange from previously good network and put into broken network.
another call would come in reporting a new problem.
second engineer would go out and move the fuse back.

perhaps rather than swapping kit around, just upgrade it... pretty please.

if budgets are tight... do mauve first :)

Kane

220 fps , 7:30am this morning. Yours truly only person in sim!

before 1.5.3 - average 1000 - 1500 fps

...and get this, I own over 50% of the sim, and have used 1600 out of 8k available. So about 2/3 of the sim is practically empty, if you include the LL land. I'm somewhat new, but from what I've learned from the forums, no major lag scripts , aside from a few rotating prims, textures, etc. ( oh, and Rathe's landscanner... which is probably accounting for most of the 0.4 runtime =P )

Guess when they applied the patch I got one of the servers with the Gerbils that were previously used in the 'Penacoli' experiment, huh?

Now down to 23 with 1 person me today in the simm, Yesterday was at 44 most of the day and about 3 peaple thier. According to scrubby ( a free thing I found somewhere) this server blows And is about to crash.
